I was born in San Marcos, TX in 1988 to Henry Solis and Yolanda Zamora. Shortly after my mother, and younger brother moved to stay with my grandmother in Kansas City, Kansas. My mother, brother and I would move around in the greater Kansas City area before following a career opportunity for my mother. There on out I would move about every two years of my life until my late 20s. In this time, I would play sports: baseball, football and wrestling.

Moving all over the United States, I was afforded the opportunities to see things some never do. I would see the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, Niagra Falls and the small area opposite of Buffalo, NY, the Grand Canyon, the Alamo, The Golden Gate Bridge all before I was 18 years old. Moving around wasn’t always that bad.

I joined the US Navy in January 2009, did two tours onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln where I was a Logistics Specialist, similar to the Military Occupation Specialty (MOS for the Army, Marine Corps, and Airforce). I had spent five years stationed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and then moved duty stations to Navsup San Diego, CA. I would separate from the military three years later in January 2017. After spending some time with my faily in Kansas. Next I would move to Oregon to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, first earning two associate degrees at Lane Community College, then transferring to the Oregon State University to finish my bachelors.
